Sarasota is a beautiful city on Florida’s Gulf Coast that was once the winter home of the Ringling Brothers Circus. Today, it hosts a number of cultural institutes, notably the Ringling Museum of Art which showcases old masters and modern art. The Sarasota Opera House and the Van Wezel also make it a cultural haven. It’s also the home of Siesta Key beach which has been listed as one of the top beaches in the worlds for several years. St. Armand’s Circle is the place to go for shopping and fine dining. Sarasota is so beautiful year round the Baltimore Orioles make it their home for spring training.
You don’t move to Sarasota to spend all of your time cooped up in your home. There’s a reason people move to Florida in hoards when they retire or bring their families who love to live here. This is the state that was tailor-made for barbecues in the backyard with your family and friends, swimming with your kids in the pool, and enjoying lazy brunches on the lanii late on a Sunday morning. Sarasota has lots of outdoor dining and that means pesky mosquitoes.
